Too many issues, about to give up

well what I thought was fixed is still not. I still am having blank server screens and crashing massively cant even get into game

I'm having a similar issue.

So I tried a fresh install windows 7. -not working
went out and bought a new network card from tp-link - not working.
Swaped AMD Rx 480 graphics card for nvidia gtx 680 - not working
Underclocked my CPU -not working
Overclocked my cpu - not working
default bios settings -not working
swapped 1866mhz dual channel 16g ram for 1333mhz(8g & 16) quad channel ram -not working
hooked up directly to the modem no router fire wall on - not working
hooked up directly to the modem no router fire wall off & no antivirus - not working
installed game on NVME ssd using pcie lanes + fresh windows 7 install -not working
installed game on Sata6 ssd + fresh windows 7 install - not working
installed game on western digital 7200 rpm caviar blue +fresh windows 7 - not working.

I don't think ill ever be-able to play this game anymore. I was able to get on around p99 patch v39-42.

I cant get past the server select screen. Every time i click log in it dumps me back to the login screen everytime with
2017-03-15 20:02:22 *** ERROR: WorldAuthenticate. My message arrival was NULL, the net has been shutdown.


I also tried the all in 1 installer not working.
setting the item to 1cpu not working.

not sure what else to try at this point.

using tunnel bear to post this. I connected to canada, mexico and the united states (where i live) cannot reach the login server now. The project 1999 site says its online with about ~1400 people playing right now.

Do you run EQ from an SSD?

Try restricting EQ to using just one core

start /affinity 1 program.exe

after everything i did. 3 fresh installs, vpn, windows reinstall and changing out hardware.

This is what fixed my issue.

The Absolute very first suggestion in the tech faq.

Tried running Everquest using eqgame.exe. In order to do this, find eqgame.exe in your everquest folder, right click on it and hit "send to desktop(create shortcut)"

Once you've made the shortcut, right click on it and select properties. In the Target line, make sure it looks like this:
"C:\your eq folder extension\eqgame.exe" patchme
