Likewise would you not have fun keep playing as a dark elf? That seems like a good reason to stop playing it.

If I particularly like a class I'll often reroll it just to play through again in different content at different levels. The most important thing is to enjoy what you are doing!

Only level 39? Do it.

It would take you at most, 2-3 weeks of concentrated level route hunting to get back to that point? And then you get to keep Regen forever. At 49 and Lich you are going to want that regen. Trust me.

Ugh I can't imagine doing the post-50 hell levels with a racial penalty. The incessant pulling and finger-waggling of the necro solo game would drive me to drink more than I already do.

If it was like quading where you can go on a Caribbean cruise in between pulls...maybe.

the earlier levels where you cant out damage the pet is terrible as well, I'm not sure if its additive or multiplicative penalties but it's terrible.

20% racial on top of 50% eaten by pet... if its multi (like hybrid and race used to be) that's a 80% penalty

Level this guy to like 50 and perma camp him at Xalgoz or some other similar camp. Roll Iksar necro as your main.

I like this suggestion. You obviously enjoyed your necromancer to level him up to where he is. I think rather than throwing the baby out with the bath water you need to find something you could enjoy with the existing necromancer, even if you do decide to level up a new one too.

I myself have both a Barb Shamm and an Erudite Necro. I have ran an Ikky but only as a monk. Personally I enjoy the choices I've made and I would not like to run an Ikky Necro due to all the negative that you incur to me outweighs the positive of the regen.

You gotta log in to look at a stick-in-the-ass lizard. Do a /who all field next time you log in, there are so many iksar necros floating around, its such a boring unoriginal choice.

You can still kill anything you would normally, just with an iksar you have to kill 20% more things, with 20% more efficiency. I played a Troll shaman to 55, and then Ogre to 45 before re-rerolling back to the Troll, and I totally regret the waste of time. I re-rerolled back because you'll soon learn that aesthetics/preference>>>>>>>>having regen. If troll had no regen, crappy stats, and no slam I would still play a troll, they are so stupidly beautiful looking.

This realization took leveling an ogre to 45 to figure out.

Also the iksar sit animation has gotta be one of the worst, so goddamn ugly.
