No, you don't need an exemption to play one account at a time. As long as your account is logged out, your son can log in. If you try to log out of one account and into another too quickly, the server will block you. Just give it a few minutes and try again and you should be fine.

No, you do not need an IP exemption unless you are going to have more than one loginserver account online at the same time in the same household. He can log in and play just fine.
