Thanks for the advice! Not sure my tail shaking skills are up to par, but I'll keep that in mind. I've been doing my best to hawk my bone chips, but I guess being in field of bone, theyre pretty easy to come by. Should I really just vendor they spider silk? Could have sworn I used to make some decent coin on it back on live, maybe it was the spiderling silk. I l just want to make sure I can afford my level 12 dots so I can head to kurns. Don't think the level 4s I'm using will cut it in the tower. Hopefully I can track down some of the shields the skellys and footpath have from time to time, I'm only managed to find 2 so far. Thanks again.

Go to the Field of Bone exit from Cabilis. Run part way down the path and turn left int othe trees. Run along the line of the desert/forest. Look at he hills. There is a cave inside one of the hills among the trees.

Inside you will find a bunch of spiders. They drop spiderling silk. Frequently. They sell for 1 plat each to players. My first character is my main, an Iksar monk. I farmed 1000 spiderling silk there. 50 stacks. Was mind numbing. But I had 1000 plat to play with. Then I made the trip to East Commonlands TUnnel. Was an epic journey.

Do exactly what Sillyturtle said but instead of selling the spiderling silks, buy a sewing kit and make leather padding and sell them for 200pp a stack in EC. To make padding, combine 3 of your silks into a silk thread, then combine the thread with a low quality animal pelt (bear, cat, wolf.) To get higher quality pelts down to low quality, use a skinning knife (buy from players or make with low level smithing yourself.) The back area of Rathe Mountains (near Lake Rathe zoneline) has about 20 bears that respawn fairly fast, good for getting the LQ pelts.

I suggest selling the regular spider silks as 1: they are worth a couple of plat a stack to vendors and 2: there is an opportunity slot in storing them in inventory until you can find a buyer (bone chips tend to go for more in my experience).

Prioritise all your slots to bone chips, food and drink. Skip the unimportant spells. Once you are ~20 you will have bags (bank?) full of bone chips. If you haven't cleared your stock with people buying faction in cabilis you can try your luck in EC (maybe even post in the buying/selling part of this forum).

In my experience there is always someone wanting to trade bonechips for xp in kaladim. As a necromancer, any you don't sell will be useful to you anyway.

edit: leather padding is also a good suggestion. Just remember to be gaining xp while you are making plat as the faster you level the more plat you can farm.

Leveling in EQ/P99 is the most important to get where you can actually make some plat. Just stick to Kurn's tower and only kill skels there till lvl 24. This zone is a necro heaven for as long as you never touch those moles. One kill and you're KoS to them. Never harm them and you can lurk in lower levels there till lvl 24-25, using all your undead only spells for maximum effect.

Just loot every goddamn skel, save bone chips and fill your bank with them (make a lvl 1 alt and drop a few bags on him to save space). Other than bones their loot sucks but it should be enough to get your most important spells. Also your necro will have enough bones for next year or two [You must be logged in to view images. There's a named skel or a ph that is on mole faction, need to avoid that one as well. I don't remember which one. Kurn's was a blast on live if you knew how to use your abilities and the burinai faction trick.

24+ you will have way more options for making cash, but really necro can play almost naked. 2x55 or 65hp rings and jboots is all you really must have, rest is optional.

Around cabilis I trained brewing and made heady koala's by the bunches. It takes a small amount of plat to make a stack and they always sell well in the commons.

I concur that bone chips are quicker and easier to do... Being a necro you should be good naked.

Also don't kill the Thick Boned Skeleton if you want to remain tolerated by Badgerbadgerbadgers.

Yeah that one got my cleric KoS on red, it sucked really bad as Kurn lower levels may last well into lvl 25, and with high +xp modifier that zone has it's been a blast leveling there.
