BE gaunts would be a huge help for my group and solo adventures in my 50s, but The Dooming Darkness slowing effect is a must for fear kiting solo. I use bash instead of snaring if I am the only snare class, keep in mind your pet bashes too.

I made the iksar because: i wanted regen, i didnt want to stare at troll butt and because I wanted to do the Greenmist quest line.

I mained an Ogre SK on live for a decade or so - I don't miss the FSI as much as I wished I had regen on the ogre, thats for sure.

So far, stuns have made no difference in success of group and solo content up to 54 - the regen, however, has been a welcome racial - paired with a Fungi, downtime is reduced greatly.

My bottlenecks have been DPS and mana regen - not stuns or str/sta/int.

it's nice to gain hit points, even if slowly, while feigned someplace or hiding in a corner after being the sole survivor of a wipe.

I went dark elf and no regrets for fashionquest etc but if not for a Vindi BP I think I'd have struggled to get up in raid wipe situations...troll/iksar the way to go I'd say [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If you plan to solo a bunch then iksar & troll regen are amazing . I play a troll and rarely do I ever get frontal stunned. I also love having slam, being able to interrupt spells with out needing to put on a shield has its perks

Can't stand the classic troll and ogre characters, so humans were the most appealing to me, but DE'S wouldn't be so bad as well. Again fashion quest.

How about Blood ember armor clickies are they useful at all?

Lack of slam with a 2hander, will that make much difference?
