I see the problem now....you are afraid of the power of archery....so you deny facts about it!

Low efficiency? Hah! A good archer can out-solo exp most classes! Not only that, but they can hold down camps others couldn't dream of (for example, soloing Tantor!!!!!).

You can plunk with your damn bow all day and your dps is still useless from it. There's a reason they literally doubled archery damage in Luclin. The only time to bow is if you have a BFG and need the dps. And if you have a BFG you're probably going to have a better haste item.

I'm no archery fanatic, but you're wrong. I've been soloing all kinds of stuff mid-50's with tolans bracer+fleeting quiver+RBB+velium bow. Not good for exping, because it takes forever, but you can farm stuff you could never melee solo, with enough patience. If it roots and doesn't summon, I can kill it. Well, if I have kiting room, that is, it'd be tough in a dungeon. Tightest spot I've done was in Kedge vs. that fierce implaer in the first room.

If you ever get a skydarkener....that will change. You will be able to quad kite sentient armors in wakening lands, or the entire forest in plane of mischief....or wyverns....really nice exps.

I could also hold down more ice giants in everfrost than a lot of others who were soloing them....so, even single target it wasn't shabby.

Do you realize how little dps those procs do? Do you want to spend 30 minutes killing 4 mobs?

Of course you can kill stuff with archery that doesn't summon. That doesn't change regardless of the dps it does. It just takes forever/is crazy boring/go level an enc or sham or druid or necro or any caster and kill said mob that way.

My main point about Ivory's nonesense isn't archery having some use for Rangers. It's when she's acting like it's viable method for dps, outside of trueshot, or that a sk kiting shit around with a 75 skill and a green con pet isn't the stupidest thing ever.

Only one of us has actually tried these things. You haven't even seen it done in game....you got no idea what you are talking about :P

Maybe a few years ago when I was a nooby I would have said the same stuff? "Oh no, an sk with low archery cap and a green pet couldn't kill stuff. Would take forever"....but...fast forward to what I know today, and having actually tried it...and it is impressive.

((Also small secret, sub 20 it is insane....since archery bypasses low level damage caps......so you can hit for 30-50's at level 1 with a nice bow :P Pew pew pew! I might make an ogre newbie archer with max str some day and be the hero of gfay!! -thinks-))
