Iksar Necro the only Necro?

If you're playing a necro and aren't an iksar, you're basically insane (or very courageous).

I don't care to dig around for it, but I remember seeing a post where someone had done up the math on Iksar necro regen as it relates to lich and equated it basically to having Flowing Thought 5 at level 60.

Iksar = Natural Health Regen.
Your character in this case necromancer will die when their health hits 0.

No other race has that for necromancer. Natural Regen is awesome even on troll who can not play necromancer.
It helps with leveling & is always active. Stacks with regen items and spells. Adds up to becoming a talk worth subject about passive healing for classes that can be iksar or troll..
I have two high 50 classes one with natural regen and the other without. It saved my life a few times in places such as Kurns tower(lvl 12-18/20) basement.

Unless you hate Iksar faction. I could see rolling otherwise for RP or faction reasons. People may still comment in game though. "Why not iksar?"
I see Iksar Necros camping felwithe guards(lvl 49+) I think. If you need plat,. it's a solid option.

This is the sole reason people think iksar are the best Necro's because their stats (85 INT) are crap for this role.
If you got with starting stats and you think you might play legimately (i.e. your not going to twink your character), by STATS the best choice is Dark Elf, seconded by Gnome.

Had a 50 Human Necro on classic live and didn't have a problem, like others said Iksar is just min/max choice usually.
