I'd prefer to solo everything except raid encounters.

Soloing is alright if you only have time to knock out a couple of mobs, or you aren't sure how long you can stay on.
I can't stand committing my time to group content. Too unpredictable.

I like to group so I can realize how bad of a druid I am.

Solo/Duo'd the last three levels on the chanter. Went to KC to group, died 3 times in 2 hours, left poorer with net zero gain in exp. Back to the solo spot.

I'm realizing how spoiled I was with my shaman. Trying to grind these last few levels on my rogue and it's discouraging when you hop on for a length of time and can't find a group. I like the flexibility that comes with soloing, but a great group with a skilled puller is definitely up there.

Solo. It's not that I'm being unsocial. It's that I don't have a lotta time. When I get to play, I won't have more than an hour or two... sometimes less.

I end up soloing most of the time, but prefer duos and trios. Like others have said, I just don't like the commitment of a full group. If I want to afk for 10-15 mins, that is hard to pull off in a group, but no problem if soloing or duoing with a friend.

Also, the more people you add, the lazier people play it seems.

I play in spurts and may randomly AFK/log as needed, so I solo. On P99, I just have the one toon, a Dark Elf Shadowknight. It's fun to have him sort out Norrath alone and tune my goals to what can be expected of a soloing SK versus what treasure requires groups/raids. When you completely strip the raiding game out of EQ, and boil down most dungeons to things that have greened/light-blued out, your perspective on the game changes.

Currently LV 30, camped on a rock somewhere in the Rathe Mountains, waiting for the Runnyeye faction changes to be patched in, because I'm bored with grinding my current hell level.

For me, EQ has always been about group synergy and seeing what your team could accomplish. So I personally prefer groups, full or smaller, over solo. Thats regardless of how much I'm forced to solo due to time constraints.
