There are other options just don't abuse them. In the rare occurrences I have friends over and we want to play P99 together we just use a phones wifi for the second connection. The data usage isn't much.

Thank you for the option. I never thought of it. I appreciate the reply [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Turns out Sprint wants a monthly fee for having hot spot capabilities. What a crock. Back to waiting lol. Good suggestion though

Instead of using the phone or carriers built in hotpost check out apps like PDANet which let you tether your connection. One way to get around those pesky hotspot limits and such.

One reason the brakes may have been put on your IP exemption application is you may have not included the full details.

When posting for this, please include

the account names of every person that will be playing from the same IP,

the identities (real first names)

the relations to those players,

make sure that at least one character has been created under each account.

Please verify the spelling of each account you specify.

This format works best: Real first name - Relationship - Account Name

I have just a few extra questions about this process for anyone with experience to answer.

How exactly would one know if they were granted an exemption? Is the requester notified in any overt way? Or do you just try and see if you can log in? I've been afraid to try just thinking I'm not yet authorized and might unintentionally raise a red flag/false positive for the staff.

Followed the prescribed format to a "T" and it's been over a month. Not that I'm complaining, I'm a patient person and have other stuff to do/games to play; but I fear my family member is starting to lose interest in duo'ing.

Your petition will likely be moved to resolved and you'll have a reply notifying you of the granted exemption.

I've been waiting over a month as well so my kids and I can all play together. Since my initial post I ran out of slots on my account so I had to create another. I added that to my existing petition to make sure it gets an exemption as well. Now I am wondering if it is at the bottom of the list again.

If that's the case they should state that in the FAQ. I'm not trying to bump the request, I just wanted them to have all the information so they would all be done at one time.

The kids are driving me crazy asking when it will be done and even I am starting to feel a bit frustrated. Nothing to do but just wait I guess...
