With torpor sure, without, probably not.

What spells are you trying to get? Most of the time it's a better idea to just buy your spells.

Get a full group to do the VP entrance wurms in Skyfire, or take a group to do protector and jumpy in seb, or join a guild and get them off a dragon.

Lots of 51-55 spells drop in HS. My Torpor dropped off Ixiblat Fer, which sometimes can be seen up in the wild without being spawned by a cleric turnin (or the cleric turns in but doesn't kill Ixi I guess!) so definitely keep an eye out for him. I've seen Bane off VP entrance mobs, never Torpor. Join a Guild and you'll get it eventually if they're killing Kunark dragons -- Mg

Whatever 51-54 spell you need, just go to BW when a bard is kiting and talk to them. They probably aren't looting them all.
