bktroost is right if you want to raid - you should roll a cleric, rogue, monk, warrior, or wizard. It's not that the other classes can't raid, but they don't play major roles. If you are grouping, clerics, enchanters, and tanks of all types seem to be in the highest demand. Monks, rogues, and shamans are all popular in groups as well, but they are omnipresent. I think something that a lot of the hard core people forget is that a lot of people never get to the top end raiding portion of this game because it takes such a large time investment to both get there and stay there. So keep that in mind when you're rolling your character.
