I have it running fine via VMWare fusion on my macbook pro - but my mouse look is way too fast, and everything I've tried has yet to fix it. Thats ok though - its only for when I'm at work that I run it in fusion.... still have a windows desktop at home.

Drop the max framerate slider down to ~50.

I was able to launch EQ on VirtualBox (Win XP guest OS) but do not see character models in the selection screen. Someone else posted about this issue and I cannot find a resolution. Seems playing the game in virtual machine may not be the best idea.

I run it with no problems under wine using GNU/Linux Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit.

Really? I'll give this a shot! I had to create a bootcamp partition just for EQ as I was having the issue of mouselook being WAY too fast and I rely upon it heavily. I use Parallels and nothing would work. I was about to warn the original poster of this issue until I saw this.. Thanks!!

What I did was from the Parallels menu go to Virtual Machine > Configure.. > Options > Advanced > and make sure Smart mouse is on.
