Thanks for your input so far!
It's just strange because the issue isn't just in game, or even chat boxes specifically. It is in the login screen and every other single place that you might see a letter or number from the moment you open EQ. Where it says my username the letters are less bold than they used to be. I don't believe in game font tweeks will change this. There must be another file affecting the entire application where resolution and/or fonts can be set.... | ||

No, no UI errors to date.
This all occurred after I reinstalled, so I had to mess with the height/width dimensions in the eqclient.ini file to be able to fit my macbook screen. I don't *think* they are any different than they were before I deleted the files and reinstalled. I was too dumb to copy them down beforehand. Could this be the issue? | ||

Did you reformat/reinstall? You may be missing some fonts you had on your old system that are no longer available for selection. If that's the case install the appropriate font you were using before and update ur .ini
