Vexenu has some good suggestions, but IMO it's worth spending more than 100p on weapons which will have far more bang for the buck than armor. Especially I'd get a Fist of Zek and Staff of Battle, and at 40 stop everything and farm until you can get a Frostbringer, which is only a few k. Also, when you see the Iksar 2H slashing animation you'll realize you can just skip 2HS.

Armor wise, the best bet is probably jarsath. Trooper Scale is probably not worth it, because by the time you could do the quests (L30) it's probably going to be much better to just plow to 46 and go to the Plane of Hate/Sky. The Iksar Planar armor is basically equivalent to cobalt in AC (when combined with the AC bonus) and it has more stats and resists.

Obsidian shards are dubious advice in my experience.

I levelled a dex build warrior to 30. Obsidian shards won't generate enough aggro to reliably tank in most groups, often all they will do is break the root that is helping you to keep being tank!

A single obsidian shard is arguably justifiable at low duel wield skill (as even when your offhand fails to produce a swing it can still proc at the normal offhand rate). Personally I found the Polished Granite Tomahawk a better proc offhander during these early levels as it is passable aoe aggro and also improves your tanking. Once you hit a decent duel wield skill you want to swap out for a proper weapon, and certainly once you reach 150 double attack (allowing you to double attack with the off hand).

For good proc weapons I suggest try getting a rogue epic farmer to help you get a Scimitar of Ykesha from Kithicor forest and a Trochillic's Skean from Steamfont.

I think the weapons on your wishlist are passible till you can get my 2 no drop suggestions

Best suggestion I could make for your iksar warrior is to get him to KC and get him some Jarsath armor. Best part is that it is free. As far weapons try and make sure you have one of each type (ie 1h slash, bash, piercing, 2h slash, bash, and piercing). As far as aggro control, well....don't sweat it so much as most casters are prone to root mobs anyways. Also try to use weps that have around a .5 damage/delay ratio (until your mid to late 30's for proccing weps).

This is good advice. For your primary weapon till the mid 30's and probably a little beyond, I'd highly recommend a Staff of Battle. This is your best DPS choice and your DPS potential will be your best thread generator. As a warrior, you're simply not going to hold aggro full time, but the staff will help you establish it, and help you kill faster. I used SoB until 37, then switched to dual SSoY for the majority of the time for the procs and sheer beauty of the weapons.

Secondary: Cane of the Tranquil 11/25
2HB: Sarnak Battlehammer 30/40
2HS: Nathsar Greatsword 17/30

Don't pay over 100pp for any of these. And don't try using inferior ratio proccing weapons while leveling, it's not worth the DPS hit.

A jade mace or lammy will do more for your aggro than any of the cheap proc weapons.
