New red druid's log:
I find my first cracked staff and use it to attack other naked humans in Qeynos. They seem completely confused as to why I declined their group invitation for "crazy sick bonuses" and that I'm demanding one of us dies. Looking for a fight, I OOC that I've got bone chips if anyone wants to come out and fight for them. Unfortunately no takers. A high level gnome wizard was at the gates of Qeynos who I /dueled and got promptly nuked to death. IDGAF gnomes don't belong here go back to your jerk machine mountain. I blindly get invited to a leveling guild for protection, safety and grouping opportunities which is promptly declined. Why limit myself on who I pick fights with? The best people to group with are those you fight to the death with, realize they don't cry about pvp and then you mutually agree you could both kill more by teaming up. I gave some naked guy a good joust thrashing and he ran to the guards. Another nearly naked person logged in and they both started attacking me. Sent them both to the gates. I would have just died because its a pvp server. Once I could afford a nuke I sent some person to the purple club where I teabagged their nearly-dead body for a good minute or two, put my staff in my backpack and punched them to death. Everyone is /role which is dumb and I refuse to do it. I want people to know where they can find a fight. TL/DR: I don't really care about the end-game on red atm because the journey getting there seems to be where the fun is at if you aren't in a rush. Keep that in mind and you'll enjoy it.

Most of the people who want you to "try red" never tried red themselves. They traded a bunch of wealth on blue to get red plat or items, and had social capital to find groups of people they already knew from blue. If you're a new player to p99 and you elect to go red have fun getting steamrolled.
