If he has torpor, whatever, he can heal himself.

If he doesn't have torpor, he should be managing his own health and ideally not letting it drop below 60%. If he really needs the mana, he should arrange ahead of time to ask for a CH when there are no mobs incoming and canni down to ~20% while you CH.

And yes, he should probably always have symbol/heroism from the cleric and be self buffed if he's slowing.

All shaman should canni below 50% during downtime or low mana for free mana dumps from pure melee between pulls ^^
