Prostitutes

Sexually-attractive people are a fine distraction, and conspicuously available ones even more so. However, sampling the local streetwalkers puts you at risk of crime. Prostitutes can be used as bait for a variety of scams:

• leading you into an armed robbery
• having a confederate go through your clothes while you are out of them
• a bogus "outraged family member" (or cop) appearing and needing to be bought off
• hidden cameras and eventual blackmail

Even if you do not allow them to lead you anywhere, streetwalkers can be dangerous. A person who brings one to his hotel is quite likely to miss his watch or wallet in the morning. In some areas, such as Mainland China, prostitution is illegal and hotel staff have the local police arrive at your room door not long after checking in with one.

If you are willing to take the health and legal risks of hiring a prostitute, go to a massage shop, sauna or whatever the local euphemism is. These establishments are significantly safer than the street workers.

Always have a friend transfer your stuff

if you dont have any friends to transfer, dont trust a level 1 trader at a bank to transfer unless you know the owner.

I posted in petition to GM's ya -- it's too early to expect a response yet, but I'll let you know soon. If the GMs allow it, I'll reveal the name once I find out so we can spit on him in the flames section ;p I'm feeling confident they'll find workinggirl and the related main. She surely didn't *plan* to scam me until I said to give the $$ to wizard, so surely wasn't using a proxy or anything. I think she'll be caught red handed ~ Goooo SQL search!

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, is convincing the world he doesn't exist.

Very little is known about Cast. What we do know, is that he is the only player persona non grata on all eqemu characters past present and future.

See a regular scam artist would have taken the plat and logged. Maybe they would have hidden their IP address.

Cast operates on an entirely different level. The character used in the scam was most likely innocent. The character that the plat was ultimately transferred to is most likely innocent as well. Not to mention the 4-5 other unsuspecting characters that unwittingly helped their "friend" wash the plat. If they were lucky, each only shared account info with only 2-3 buddies apiece.

If you want to find Cast, check the forest outside Crushbone. Rumor mill has it that Johnny Appleseed likes to wander the forest handing out coin in 100 plat increments to new characters.
