You people are so bitter - lighten up. This thread is half-taunt, yes. But it is half-serious, too. I really do want to know what some of these unique event items were. Some that people linked to me were pretty elite.

If they gave out 10 times as much as was intended, and it won't happen again, great! If they gave out only slightly more than was intended, it would still be too much. Tons of free high end stuff hurt the "integrity" of the game - that is what most people don't understand. Finding upgrades to your equipment IS part of the fun. Item inflation is really dangerous, just like money - or plat - inflation. Verant was very well aware of that in 1999 / 2000.

First, I can understand why people are upset about the LR - I was one of those people who spent a ridiculous amount of time in Fear when it was new. That being said, can you guys really be upset about those other misc. event items? Some of them weren't even that good. And I'm pretty sure there weren't too many of them.

Can anyone give us an indication of how many (per server) there were of these items?

I agree with the OP's original intent, thank you Rogean and co. It was fun, and some guildies/friends got pretty lucky. I got extremely UNlucky, but whatever. There were a lot of people just holding onto a mob for a friend (which was fine) for a few minutes, but then when they let go, someone else would hold the body all the way until it rotted. One friend got like 5 pieces of cryosilk, but then I got to 6 different bodies that someone was trying to hold for me, and 4 of them ended up rotting. If someone else got them, that's fair play, but having them just rot was pretty dickish. Thanks!

In any case, that's not the GM's fault, and even having GM events on a free server is awesome. I'm now participated in 1 more GM event then I ever did on live, which was 0 as they were unplayable or didn't happen on our server unless it was one of the big story ones that everyone got.
