So since our privacy is being eroded by several opponents, we should obviously just give up and it it be completely eroded. Solid plan, chief.
Please don't evangelize your nihilism

Yeah, ok buddy. Way to miss the point entirely. Also has nothing to do with nihilism. Or you for that matter.
I was responding to Ranndom here. If you're telling people not to upgrade to Windows 10 because of privacy fears and the police knocking on your door, you haven't been paying attention. But if you want to try to derail this thread any further, be my guest. Windows 10 seems to EQ just fine.

Here's a better thread to discuss the tinfoilhattery behind Windows 10.

Also, using a wired connection is not going to add privacy unless you're trying to evade packet sniffing at Starbucks. Neither is unplugging your computer (or am I missing the sarcasm?) What will help is when third party tools are developed that block the transmission of personal data to the aggregation services, sort of like how AdBlock disables the ability to use cookies, trackers, etc.

After installing Windows 10, my character models are invisible but I can see melee items. I also now have input lag (controls feel very "soft") as well as an FPS drop.
PC stats are i5-3570k, 8 GB RAM, and... oh I may have just found the problem. My vid card is not listed in dxdiag. Will edit.

So, what you're saying is... Windows 10 and P99 are compatible. Thanks!
