I'm more in the boat that if you dont like something that someone does or something does then walk away from it and stop letting it bother you. Like personally i dont shop at Fry's due to thier garbage customer service and shitty handling of internet orders even though i could get way better deals if i went through their bullshit. I rather just move on from something and find something better then to waste my time trying to fix the problem with the first thing because its not my product/idea/game etc. If a company or someone running something wants to do it their way then good for them. They have obivously earned that from building the company to that point.
