First time I logged into blue server was Gfay with some 40ish people in it.

It was heartwarming.

I played beta in '98.

If you want to come back and level fast, look up those couple quests that help you tremendously through out 1 to 60.

Crushbone belts/pads as an example. They will get you from 1 to 15 really fast.

EDIT:

When I came back to the experience, I wanted to get to 60 asap because end game is where I want to live. However, I have a family now, unlike before, and due to that I had to find time to visit the wiki and forums in order to find a route to 60 that would work for me.

Thanks again, everyone. I did end up rolling a Ranger and had some fun yesterday. While I've found people are around (and some really nice people who helped me out with a few items), so far I've found grouping hit or miss. Probably 3/4 of the people I saw killing stuff and asked if they wanted to team up wanted to remain solo. The groups I did find were good, though, so hopefully with a few more levels people will want to group more frequently.

Fortunately, I am less interested in end-game. I never did anything end-game really when I played previously, because Fear and Hate were still relatively new. To me this is more nostalgia of maybe getting to experience some of the places I fondly remember (Unrest, CT, Guk, Sol, etc.). A lot of that will depend on grouping, though, so we'll see how far I actually make it!
