Down kitties! Just curious if time is more wisely spent starting the hybrid now or patiently waiting for the change. No real benefit to start early with lesser gear it sounds like. Especially since troll sk is my plan. Cringe!

So, do ALL the xp penalties for all the classes/races get removed, or just the hybrid ones?

And what about the xp bonuses for halflings, rogues, and warriors?

Class XP modifiers are eliminated going forward from the patch, SOE discovered that math wasn't actually hard despite Talking Barbie's protestations to the contrary. (Hybrids just have the largest penalties, many classes have penalties or bonuses.)

Race XP penalties are not eliminated.

After the patch XP is divided amongst the group based strictly on level, rather than on XP earned, so although race XP penalties remain they become strictly the problem of the character in question and have zero effect on the rest of the group.

Thanks for the explanation. Cheers.

Kaev is right about the Racial thingy. Iksar has a 20% Penalty that will NEVER go away. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Has racial penalties ever gone away? Do Iksar still have a 20% penalty on live to this day?

I believe the bonuses were left intact, so it wouldn't be entirely true to say class modifiers were eliminated?

They were gonna level all classes, but decided warrior / rogue modifiers still made sense seeing as they are the most group dependent classes in game.

That might be right. The producer's letter from back in the day that described the changes is copypasta'd in at least one thread somewhere on these forums, either in bugs/resolved or in one of the velious beta forums.
