Installer requires you also install McAfee, has for past few years, so don't think this has to do with DBG.

I still have the files, reinstalling right now as a matter of fact. It would make it easier to get my friends and family on board and EQ fans in general that want to live EQ again if the titantium client was easier to access. I was just more curious than anything if that's on their agenda, a more accessible client or purchasable client in the future.
Once you get EQ up and running just copy your EQ folder to a flash drive and pass it around like a 2 dollar whore.

If daybreak was smart they would charge 9.99 for a copy of titanium and a link to p99 .
I would agree, unfortunately they are not (smart) and that is why the festering sore that was their studio was cut from the Sony conglomerate.

And sorry to OP for off topic comment...

I tried this on my sons computer today and it did not work. First few times I tried to run the "Launch titanium" and it kept coming back saying could not find eqgame. I later discovered that the eqgame file would disappear after first launch attempt.

Found some different instructions to make a shortcut of eqgames and change the target path but now I keep getting this app wont work on this pc error.

Did this as a test to see if I could get my friends and family started if i shared them the ready to go EQEmu file vs iso files and explaining how to install from a cd clone and all the other getting started files.

Why I go back to my original question, need a easier way to get this client for the average bear!

Just a FYI every time there's a new patch go to the home page of p99, click the red "getting started link" on the left and look for the latest patch v38 or w/e version it is. Download, copy and paste in your EQ folder- or extract it..
Several rl friends of mine struggled with this as well and yea it is kinda tedious. Nothing more disappointing then trying to log on and the damn game won't work

There's a free client already available.

It's in the getting started guide. Also just to throw a monkey wrench in here, you can use a different client than Titanium, you just have to do extra work that is not listed in the getting started guide so you are on your own to get something other than Titanium working.
