![]() Druid/shaman/cleric + Mage seems to be a good combo. Pet destroys everything while healer keeps it alive. Pet doesn't take 50% exp since you are grouped.
Only downside is I would imagine it would get pretty boring.

![]() I would not recommend Enc/Cleric as a duo to start at level 1. It might be good at high level, but the synergy isn't there pre-50. When charm is cheap and short duration and haste is weak.. it makes far more sense to grab fresh pets instead of negating half of charm's natural dps by healing the old one. You'll have to slog through 40-50 levels of mediocrity before getting any kind of payoff from the combo(if you ever get there).
If I were doing a fun duo with a friend without a specific end goal, my first choice would be Warrior and Druid, preferably both Halfling. It won't win any Min/Max awards for End Game Effectiveness(tm), but it's fun and they play off each other from the very first login. Having a druid makes your duo largely self-sufficient. You aren't tied to one specific combat style. And absolutely any other class can be added to the mix if you come across other people you want to group with for a bit.

Forget all that stupid healing, buffing and crap. Nuke it dead, med and drink some tea with crumpits. Much better IRL interaction than facing the screens all the time. For funsies you can port each other and take turns too!

![]() My gf is going to be a druid and i was thinking that some type of melee class would be a fun compliment. I was thinking a Paladin. Again the main goal here is to just have fun and not really worry about being "uber".

![]() Scratch all that, if she's playing a Druid, duo with just about whatever you want. Druid is not an "uber" class by any stretch, and can toss out a few heals. Play something that does well outdoors, because that's going to be the Druid's best bet. Ranger for canon-friendly duo I suppose.

Just play whatever you want. Everyone here doesn't understand FUN factor...

![]() Paladin + Druid is pretty good: very mobile, very survivable, excellent pulling capabilities, unimpressive damage output.
Ranger + Shaman can be amazing, only real weakness is indoor pulling.

I find it funny you would generalize "everyone" elses' opinion of "FUN". Some people find playing a class that fits their role-play style fun. Some people find playing the most powerful classes fun. Some people find high-end raiding and pixel collection fun. Some people find day-trading in EC for most of their time fun. Keep in mind, your idea of fun is far, far from everyone else.

We were disappointed when damage shields didn't stack, but it's hardly necessary since the fire elemental DS is so strong. Druid DOT+Mage DS, and both classes healing kills mobs very efficiently. I wouldn't use a cleric, because the SOW would be missed, and they wouldn't contribute damage. One of Shaman's best spells is slow, which doesn't have synergy with damage shield killing. Druid adds ports which is nice, and although this duo can become dry, we can hunt someplace where the druid can charm to mix it up. We love the druid combo. We're never just medding always using efficient heals and nukes, and we never stop pulling.
