Excited for it but skeptical as well. I backed it with their first KS, but I've not really seen anything yet. I've tried a few of their alpha tests, etc, but nothing to really judge it on. I'm more worried about the combat. I hope it works well.

By far, the most famous member of DAoC community is Olerris, a Jewish potion scamming son of a bitch, who became famous when he "unleashed the fury" on the internet vnboards by thanking everyone for making him 50 platinum pieces, roughly worth 100 bucks, and forcing Mythic to change the rules regarding player housing.

Very much so, but they're over 13-15 months from release apparently and in pre-alpha stages, not to mention only 8 programmers. I wouldn't get my hopes up too high, look what happened with EverQuest Next. Although I have to admit, I do like how they're using a spellbook as a container for spells and abilities like in EQ, but the mechanics look too much like WoW, hope it's not just another WoW clone by the time it actually sees the light of day.
