![]() Even with penalties in place some classes are still readily welcomed (like monks - overpowered but fun to play).
Warrior +5% Rogue +5% Necro -10% Mage -10% Wiz -10% Ench -10% Human monk -20% Ikky monk -44% All bards -40% All Rangers -40% All Paladins -40% Sks. -40% Troll/ikky sk -68% Troll race -20% Ikky -20% Ogre -15% Barbarian -10% Halfling +5% Worst are in order: Sk (troll iksar) Sk (ogre) Iksar monk All hybrids (knight bard ranger) Monks or any iksar/troll Etc etc After velious all classes neutral though rog and warrior maintain bonus. Those with racial penalties will level slower unless also losing hybrid penalty. In the future the racial do burden will not be shared so they actually will lower their xp rate by whatever percent. Everyone will get a chunk of xp relative only to their level.

![]() You have to type /who all dru count or /who all war 55 60 count, also /who all wiz 60 count - you will get a number regardless of who is /anon or /role
Classes will still mostly be split due to what classes are easiest to get groups and get to 60. Hybrids wont surge a bunch in popularity even with removal of penalties due to how "weak" they are. Also there are many classes that are not as "raid useful" as others which also affects population counts. | ||

Excluding raid boss tanking knights are frankly amazing group level tanks. The biggest draw back for playing one or inviting one is the penalty. Rangers ... Where to start. There's a reason you saw a billion of them in early eq. Part of that is because very few parsed so relative worth was unknown. Pair that with the 'nobody knew about xp penalty" and bam - there were a ton. They are a blast to play and allow for a lot of flexibility. Sure there's not much they can do that others can't do better, but they are still stable and productive dps that can assist with heals, roots, snares etc. I main'd a ranger back in the day. In a perfect group they might seem lackluster, but in anything less than - they make the whole group work better. Ghetto heals save healer mana and their dmg output is nothing to sneeze at. More than anything, they're just a really FUN class. Take away the penalty and suddenly you'll see more of them total and more of them actually getting groups. I bet we see a lot more Rangers moreso than any other class. Knights will see a lot of growth too.

![]() New here... I like that it seems Paladins are rare. Maybe I will be in more demand. If I find reason (guild need) to switch I will. But no guild so am rocking Pally.

![]() I like hybrid tanks just about more than anybody my friend, hence "weak" in quotes. This is the server where if you don't have a twink epic rogue or a twinked out monk or a twinked cleric with epic you just don't even bother playing the toon =)
