aaryonar was rough during classic, and all of the dragons after him were a joke up until vulak. Different server not exactly the same.

I think the main difference between xpacs is Kunark is all about pretty much ignoring fight mechanics and blasting the mobs pussy off, and Velious is all about dealing with the mechanics.
Hope they keep the beta server up so the JV squads can practice and contest, otherwise even if the 2nd/3rd tier guilds get a shot they are just going to wipe even with a large enough raid force.

Vyemm was always harder than Vulak. Vulak is technically the zone boss but was pretty easy in comparison to some of the other dragons.

Vulak was a cakewalk. He was like the giant loot pinata at the end of a NTov clear.
Outside of the mobs themselves, here were the true most difficult parts of Velious: -pulling Dain correctly -getting 40+ raid force across Siren's Grotto -Pulling the '3 dragon split' in NTov prior to Holgresh beads -the run to Yelinak (unless you had a COH bot parked) -camping Stormfeather

I'm sure they'll be about 10 COH bots positioned by Yelinak here, the benefit of 2+ years of Kunark. Great place to farm easy YT on OOM naked mages! Dain pull is gonna be fun. Nothing like a zone you can get faction in where 1 person can completely hose a pull in the face of an 80 man raid force.
