Search around in EC or the EC Tunnel Thread. I've seen many people selling the MQ. They have their own puppet strings and walk you through the turn in. It's not cheap, but certainly not unreasonably expensive.

Yeah no one in EC tunnel in red, all trading done through OOC. And I havnt seen puppet strings for sale for weeks. I think when I did used to see them they were like 15k :/ seems ridiculous for 1 charge, or maybe no one on red trusts anyone to give the strings back, I dunno. What do u mean the MQ tho? Ur just talking about using someone's puppet strings right? Cuz it's just a 1 item (jade) turn in so can't actually MQ it.

People don't really sell puppet stringed on red. Most guilds hold on to them for guildies. Would be faster to get VP keyed

Red has no vendor recharging, right? Puppet Strings rental being offered for OT hammer in the tunnel on blue has everything to do with them being reusable.

Back in the day on live my Rogue used Vial of Velium Vapors (mostly to gate out of one way zones, such as planes).

It does require trade skilling though.

puppet strings for OT hammer quest.

15k for a OT hammer is pretty legit if you cant get one any other way. Most people use their OT hammer every day. using gate pots and such will cost more than 15k in the long run

As he said. He's on red. They dont have recharing there so people dont sell hammer charges.
