I also played in the hospital while my wife was having surgery, brought my laptop and played at her side while she slept/recovered. I used my phone as a modem and had no issues disconnecting whatsoever. Not my proudest moment

I don't look down upon this. I was in the hospital watching someone, and it was the night shift. I used a game to keep me awake. In the middle of the night, if I was not there to alarm the nurse of a low oxygen number and difficulty breathing the person I was watching might have died.

This past month I paid 8 bucks for wireless internet at 38,000 feet up in the air. The connection was terrible but I still managed to log in and tunnel quest it up!

I was on a plane!

I've played in:
- A travel trailer's closet (it was tiny)
- A 7-11 in California
- My house's crawl space
- A friend's laundry room
- The local Subway
- A tennis field

Internet wouldn't connect upstairs, so I wandered the house looking for a signal. For some unexplainable reason, the crawl space was the only place the neighbors' wifi was strong enough to play.

A few years ago I was part of the pit crew team for Stone Bros at the Bathurst 1000 (Australias biggest motor race .. kinda on the scale on the Indy 500) I had been chatting to a few of the guys about gaming, so on the Saturday evening after qualifying I plugged my laptop into one the the pit monitors and logged in.

Didn't really "play" just ran around and did dumb stuff so they could see the game. We ended up with quite a crowd of watchers incl. guys like Mark Skaife, Rick & Todd Kelly (both huge gamers), Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander.

Was lotsa fun until Ross Stone (Team Owner) came in and when ballistic and pulled the plug.

Definitely the most unusual place I have ever logged into EQ!

I've logged in to EQ while doing hot laps at powercruise @ queensland raceway. Was doing some WOT tuning on mates HQ kinga from passanger seat and got batphone. Tried to (and failed) FTE trakanon while coming in to pits after chopping a V10 R8 while logging on.

Also played from the top of a sand dune in the middle of the desert in Oman west of Ibri. Only place I could get good 3G was at the top of this fucking sand dune so lugged my work laptop up and filled it with sand... doh.
Planes a few times, the singapore airlines a380's have really good net in business class, 600ms lag more than fine to play with.
Airport lounges quite commonly. Ib guys would know me well for being in some obscure fucking airport drunk as a skunk makin plays.
Played from the middle of the jungle in papua new guinea.
And a few times from side of the road. More than I can count to be honest.
Once got about 120aa's afk with laptop open while driving 500km when a mate was shaker paging me in PoV on eqmac.
An hour ago I was online from the middle of bass straight on an oil rig. 1800ms sat net FTL.

Stupid game [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Felt like this was going to go "mid fire fight reclaiming an Iraqi city... I got bat phoned and my laptop got shot up. Don't worry I made them do naked pyramids afterwards, but that got blown out of proportion."
