This may be out of place, but have you considered a "tutorial" starting room? After creating character, you pop up in a little house with one mob in. You hail it and it goes over the p99-specific rules. The big, conduct stuff. Then they can say a phrase ("I will not take out a second mortgage to buy a pre-nerf fungi staff") to drop into the typical starting area. If you think new players are the most common prey, it may help. Yes, I stole this idea from Shards of Dalaya.

Its an idea, but I dont think you will ever stop them. This has been a problem since UO times and will probly be an issue for mmo devs time immaterial.

The problem is Capitalism folks. As long as we live in our hedonistic Capitalist ways people will always want to use their greed to oppress you. We are the 1%!!!!

When our files are out of date there is a warning written at the create/choose character screen; would it be possible to do a similar anti box/rmt warning in that screen for accounts with no characters?

PS - I know there are some nice folks out there; I just hate sitting in groups where massively twinked people are telling me everyone cheats, but no they are clean; they got friends. This isn't even a 1 time thing.... it happened so much a year + ago that I left.
