yaw it's not that bad now, just as stable as win7 and you can disable all the touch menus. I recommend using Start8 to do this. It boots faster, the actual desktop mode looks cooler, what is not to like?

Is that the shell that disables the stupid metro desktop? I looked for it for a bit but my google-fu is pretty bad.
