Hello Ezri,

This is available to be purchased on Amazon.
Let's not tell people they need to shell out $100+ to play here if they really don't.

That being said, welcome back!

My favourite memories from EQ the first time around.
Getting to level 40 on my druid and not having to sit to med!
Why didn't you have to sit to med?

My guess is that he meant 30 to not have to stick his face in the book to med.

okay...
I got Titanium Edition - copied it into (mac) Project 1999\Contents\c_drive\P99
copied the Project 1999 Files (V36) into P99 folder
Edited eqclient.ini and set WindowedMode=TRUE
installed WinEQ2 into Project 1999\Contents\c_drive\WinEQ2
Set up the WinEQ2 profile pointing to P99\eqgame.exe
but every time i try to run "P99\EQGame.exe patchme" it crashes and hangs without any signs of working.

I have a 2007 Mac Mini; 2ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB 877 DDR2, Intel GMA 950 64 MB

ps. girl here
pps. shows how long I've not played EQ for if I can't even remember the standing Med level

log file says....
2015-04-28 20:27:22 Starting EverQuest (Build Oct 31 2005 10:33:37)
2015-04-28 20:27:22 Timezone: UTC+0h00m
2015-04-28 20:27:22 Loading graphics DLL.
2015-04-28 20:27:22 Parsing INI file .\eqclient.ini
2015-04-28 20:27:22 INI file .\eqclient.ini loaded.
2015-04-28 20:27:23 Initializing timers.
2015-04-28 20:27:26 Checking critical files.
2015-04-28 20:27:26 Initializing WinSock.
2015-04-28 20:27:26 Enumerating 3D devices.

and then stops and burns.

I've installed DirectX10 for windows XP in the Project 1999 WINE thingy, and running DirectX setup tool going to the Direct Draw tab the same thing happens, crash and burn... so it's something D3D related, but it is showing me I have no graphics drivers installed... so trying to download Intel Integrated Drivers, which so far have not worked. "your pc does not meet the minimum requirements" but doesn't say anything more than that.

So the good news is... I got Everquest working after another 5 hours of messing with WineSkin - but there are a few quirks to work out...

Firstly if I run the game windowed mode I just get a pink background with huge white letters and no game.
Secondly, if I run the game in fullscreen mode it does work, including the mouse except for Mouselook which goes insanely crazy.

I downloaded Wineskin Winery and followed the instructions in the below video to create a brand new wrapper with the latest versions of WineSkin.
How to Install Project 1999 on a Mac
Installed all the fonts from wineskin-tools-winetricks, changed the MaxCPU=1 flag, changed the Engine to WS9WineCX____ rather than WS9WineCXG____; trial and error really I just tried them one by one until something worked.

Ezri

I had some issues initially. I installed WinEQ 2 & it works a treat now. Try that maybe?
