You also have to factor in that XP penalty.

Iksar get a racial XP penalty, and Necros get a class XP penalty. I mention the class penalty, because they are multiplicative, not additive. Basically meaning that its WORSE.

Is the bonus worth the penalty? No. Not to me.

I made a DE necro, I don't care about min/maxing bullshit or maximizing my efficiency, I just want to be what I want to be. If it's going to bother you that you're missing some regen, then make a lizard, its 100% not necessary tho.

I like a Iksar Necro not only for the Re Gen but they are hated Everywhere but their hometown. So you do not need to worry about maybe you are KoS, You ARE KoS, so just kill every vender, guard, Mob that walks and forget about the faction hits. Who Cares. Just don't do it in your home city, and heck I guess you could if you wanted to lol. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The the Re Gen is HUGE at 55 +. You play one right you can go nearly non stop XP wise. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] It is double the Re Gen at level 1 compared to a Human or DE.

I'd reroll, but Erudite for style points too.

The advantage of Regen for a Necro is MASSIVE. Anyone who has played both an iksar and non-iksar will tell you its night and day, literally.

If you plan on going all the way to 60, do yourself a huge favour and re-roll.

If you need proof you should search the forums (specifically the Caster forums) for any posts about Race choice for a necro and heed Sesserdrix's words. His posts will sway your decision and you will not regret it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

FTFY.

Now that I am done being an english Nazi. Iksar regen is not only awesome but Iksars are the second best race in the game.

Dorf > Iksar > Troll > Else

And you can't be a Dorf or a Troll, so the correct choice is Iksar.

It might take longer to hit 60, but that regen... totally worth it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
