Someone should probably make sure it's actually in the game.
It's already been confirmed don't worry.

I CotH'd a guildie rogue to loot it when I did my ring. It's a very baller item... Wonder how much the loot rights would run...

Yea pretty decent range, but limited audience. Luckily a favorite of twinks.

I dunno, maybe 20-50k?

Tons of classes are going to be going after the ring, rogues included. Only rogues can use the bow. I wouldn't think the loot rights would be able to be too expensive.

You're going to want aura of battle items and primal to up your damage. Outside of that, rogue upgrades are HP and resists. You won't be upgrading your MH until vulak or tunare daggers which might be years down the road.

Getting really excited about equipment as a rogue is kind of uh... well. Useless.

Rogues are the worst 'dress up doll' class in the game. They constantly 'want' better items, but that actual degree of improvement that comes with those items is... very underwhelming.

Weapons are super important, of course, but as long as you have 'good enough' weapons, ATK rating, resists and HP.... there's really not much 'more' to gain from being overgeared.

Compare a level 60 rogue with 2 weapons in full full full items, and then another level 60 rogue with the same weapons but not quite as much stats. They both cap strength and they're both bringing tons of heat. And that's it.

And then you start metagaming with the fact that the only people who get these items are literally dress up dolls in 70 person raid guilds and suddenly it all just seems rather ridiculous to even contemplate. These people could be doing these raids naked at those kinds of numbers -- but you simply *have* to get that new accessory for your E-Doll.

Sweet items are sweet, don't get me wrong. But the p99 broscience and circle jerking that goes on is a little bit ridiculous. As a rogue you need weps, resists, and HP. People can buff you.

^ is completely correct, but only for Kunark. As long as you have capped strength, 255 MR, and ragebringer, and position yourself correctly, you're going to be within 5% of the VP geared rogues.

But in Velious this should change. Primal+Aura of Battle alone is going to be like +15-20% damage. Add in another 15-20% from better weapons like Mrylokar's Dagger of Blood (15/19). And finally, resist gear is going to actually matter to some extent in NToV; if you can't max resists you're going to have to get constant torpors or whatnot. Add it all up, and a top tier Velious rogue might be doing 50% more damage than a Kunark geared one.

EHHH. Primal is the same thing as a rogue getting an avatar, so you can't really count that as a Velious exclusive DPS boost. AoB is gonna be underwhelming,+1% dps per 10 attack I read once. ( Ex: AoB x1 + avatar = +11% dps). Yes, the top tier weapons will bring about a significant increase, but keep in mind that a RSSS is on par with a mid-high range Velious weapon. The main boosts in rogue gear won't be damage. It'll be surviability from rainbow resists and better HP stuff. Also the ever desirable 255 255 255 255 unbuffed stats (which don't matter).

100%. My main rogue and alternate rogue aren't much different, but have VERY different gear because I eventually realized that good enough is just as good as good as you can get. Quite a bit cheaper too!
