also I suggest downloading and using 7-zip instead of WinZip
7-Zip is nice and I concur. WinZip can, sometimes, not open 7zip files.

And, good catch on the EQ Platinum!

I would also say, in this vein, that winrar is a good zip program as well and I would say you can use that as well.

Funny you say that. I personally use WinRAR, only. There was only one jackass I knew who used 7Zip to pack a file, and the encryption he used (not the default) would not allow WinRAR to unpack it.

I had to use 7Zip.

i use 7-zip as a program to handle all my archival needs. when creating archives i use it to create .zip files not .7z or .rar files
lightweight, intuitive options in the windows context menu, handles pretty much any format iv encountered, etc...
