Not everyone is a glutton for punishment, or prefer to walk up hill both ways in the snow to school.

My advice: make another char. A caster, preferably. On the uncommon days where a tank isn't the hardest group spot to fill for any particular leveling range go play your caster for a bit. Try again in a while.

I don't know if there are powerful enough drugs available to treat self-loathing so strong it leads you to delevel a paladin on p99. Oh wait, you play on red, right? nm

If you rolled a paladin with the intentions of doing dps, youre doing it wrong

This is definitely true. However, in my opinion mobs in this "Kunark" era aren't necessarily tuned right. Paladin dps should never be high but it is lower than it should be because misses are too frequent, once again imho.

I will reiterate though, the real problem isn't dps, it's that Paladins (tanks as a whole in certain ways) take too much damage. Evasive mitigation is doing way more than it should. Once again this is based on my recollection. I know that a lot of work has been put into the AC code, it's appreciated, but I still think it needs tweaking.

Paladin misses don't really become an issue until mid 40's. Prior to that just pick up one or two decent str items and yaulp. If you are soloing, make liberal use of berserker strength line and be sure to refresh it before it starts getting poopy. Depending on how quickly you kill that could me recasting it every 1 - 3 kills. Of course as everyone has already said, paladins are most effective in full groups. We can solo and we can do very well in small groups, but damage is not our thang and you have to approach the character as such.

Aye.
No epic till 46 but its ready to turn in.

Luv Paladins just sometimes we go on record breaking miss cycles and miss 3-4 melee rounds [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

Velious gunna be good for them.

P.s. people don't appreciate paladins here coz everyone is focused on MAX DPs, but pretty much in every group I play in, I eventually save at least one person from death with my LoH on bad pulls... Wars be still trying to get agro on 1 mob while the group panics and tries and does cc work.

Paladin = life saving LoH + CC + almost insta agro + tanking + semi pulling/splitting skills.
