Yep, stupid people who petition because they are angry with you or for some other reason, are the reason you cannot AFK or possibly risk getting banned.
People really need ot leave 2-box patrolling to GMs and not petition every duo they come across with an AFKed member.

It is not unusual for someone in a group to go AFK while the group continues whatever they were doing. Maybe a simple bio break is interrupted by some kind of family emergency. Even if someone is AFK on purpose just to soak up XP while doing something else, it is certainly no worse than your normal power leveling scenario and absurd to think it is a bannable offense.

Nilbog also wants no boxing. We are all volunteers and doing our part to help the server and Nilbog's goals. Official staff can't be everywhere. I expect players to keep their eyes open and report other players breaking the rules. I think it's as much their responsibility to support the server as it is mine. That being said, please don't waste our time reporting someone just because you are holding a grudge. Also, Auto-following does not always indicate boxing. If you do /petition boxers, please be fairly sure you are witnessing boxing. Thanks | |||

Too often people just get rustled that the camp they want is taken and they see it being duoed by two people, one of whom is AFK, and they immediately run off and claim boxing. People have a witch hunt mentality about boxing here and it's unfortunate. If you see something legitimately fishy, fine. But if you see one caster AFK medding and his duo partner doing other stuff, it isn't always a boxer.

Plenty of choice. Give PEQ a try, give one of the Al'Kabor revival servers a try. Part of the winning formula for P99 is the fact that boxing isn't allowed here.

But that doesn't mean every time you go out and group you need to petition a random AFKed caster medding cause OH MY GOD THEY COULD BE BOXING HOLY SHIT, MUST PETITION. Too many act as overzealous Hall Monitors. Not enough act like reasonable humans who don't petition until they see something more suspicious than "One guy is sitting doing nothing while the other guy is fighting".

If you get reported and can't pass the box test you will get banned. You can petition it on the forums and get it reversed, however, if you can prove your case. sounds more of a pain in the butt than its worth.

I know many people that have their spouse/children log in on one computer to mostly AFK, it is allowed from my understanding but it'd be impossible to prove innocence if they're AFK or new to EQ.
