Turning Rangers into a pet class would not be remotely within the spirit of Classic EverQuest. They're not meant to be a major DPS class. And actually, Rangers aren't that bad at DPS.

Having a pet doesn't make them a pet class. Ranger's weren't meant to be anything, they were an afterthought added to the game in the last minute.

actually in q4 1997 when EQ was teased, ranger was the only class [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

in fact Aradune was a ranger. a ranger that held the Fiery Avenger
