In 2004-era EQ2, the only way to become a high-elf SK was to betray Qeynos, then slowly earn the trust (or at least tolerance) of Freeport over the course of a long quest-line which left you homeless and unable to enter either capital.

When you saw a 'good' race playing an evil class or a dark-elf paladin, you knew there was some important background going on there. They had earned it with blood, sweat and tears. That kind of improved my immersion.

And then they just let anyone do it...
yah was about to say they made the betrayal questline so easy in the end you could do it in an afternoon lol got dayum wowified shit.

Isn't there still one halfling paladin running around because they got in before the restrictions were introduced?

Never much cared for EQ's take on anthropomorphic races. Except maybe frogloks. The rest are either ugly or retarded looking. No cat people please.

I should add that I would sacrifice halfling clerics to keep the cat people away. They confuse me.

Your sarcasm sensors are functioning optimally it would seem.

Maybe you're talking about the classic kerrans whereas I'm referring to luclin vah shir? DOn't get me wrong, cat people are silly especially when on the moon, but how much closer to humanoid can you get than a human body with a cat-fur texture a tail and pointed ears? :P
