Instead of farming and praying you don't get victimized, have you ever thought of making plat off of being a predator? You'd be surprised at how much plat you can make by making friends and hunting other players - you actually can make cash having fun! It's an insane concept.

Yeah I don't fancy myself a thief. If someone invests time in making plat and you take it you are stealing their time. That is just wrong.

Another trick is to buy gems (not sure which ones, can someone help with that?). You buy the gems to absorb your money and when you are in a safe spot you can sell them back to a merchant. You lose about 5> pp out of every 100pp which to many on red, that lost is worth over the fear of losing precious pp. If someone else is farming that area and is pvp to you, either fight them or go somewhere else, make a alt or/and wait. With the pop still low you dont see as many people as you do in blue and eventually the camp spot should open up and be open for a bit.

Yea, that guy was meant for blue. I don't think he gets the concept that you shouldn't ever just be walking around with 3k on you at anytime.

Or, you could go farm sea furies, which on red is empty half the time, and dont turn in your gems for plat till you are at the bank.

I tried red with a couple of friends but you have a few twinked asshats who think it's fun to kill untwinked noobs over and over so one of the friends decided blue was better after all. Not a great way to encourage new players.
