Game Mechanics: Sea Dragon Meats

I could find no evidence supporting the existance of these meats pre-velious. In fact, the sequential numbering of these items with velious items supports that they weren't in the game.

There are item # clumps that jump around, but items from 1 expansion always run in the same number chains. They don't mix and match consecutive numbers by expansion really.

Gonna bump this.

Faydedar shouldn't drop Sea Dragon Meat and all existing Meats should be purged. Lets make those Othmir Totems actually rare for the beginning of Velious not 200 totems attained by staring at sand for 16-hours autofiring your javelin.

Thats them being dumb buying an item that has no purpose until a later expansion, that has no evidence supporting it dropping before said expansion.

Lets be realistic though. The VAST majority of these meats are sitting in guild-banks. In stacks. Waiting to be transformed into Othmir Prexus Totems the minute you get someone keyed in Cobalt Scar.

Someone brought up a fantastic point. We could just swap all Sea Dragon Meats for Steaks.

But I like the idea of replacing all Sea Dragon Meats with the Steaks and turning off that drop until Velious.

If item ID is really a reliable way to tell whether or not an item should be in game, then I would think this item would already not be in the game. Not hard to do a comparison between two lists.
