I exclusively play charm-capable classes, and Necro has left me wanting almost as much as Druids. Maybe I'm just spoiled by how easy root rotting/Fear kiting is, but I've only found two or three spots 20-46 that seemed like the hassle of charm kiting was worth it with Necro... I guess it changes at 45+ with CoM, LGuk, TT, etc.. opening up.

Love my Necro though, even if he's a bit scalier than he was on Live.

Very limited places to charm undead.

The 53 pet isn't too hard to get (spell-turn in quest) and is worthwhile while fear kiting. The 56 pet you can skip, by then you can charm in HS if you want or root rot. I do use the 56 pet when farming Droga because it puts out more DPS then the war pet (but it's more fragile). Not worth spending PP on imo, but if you are in a decent guild they'll probably provide you one for free.

Thanks for the info! Ill hold off on buying the 56 pet, wont take me long to get to 59 anyway so Ill hold off.
