Nice people waive this. I was at NG yesterday with an IB guy soloing there. A few times he needed to camp aggro... obviously I could have jumped in with a lawyer book and taken it, but just be a pal, be nice.

Good karma comes back eventually...a spot opened at king and everyone was smiling.

I like happy endings, don't you? <3 [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
What Swish said is very true, but if one is in "it's a cold hard world out there" mode, the basic -- and classic -- practice is, you leave a camp, you lost it.

Going to vendor: yeah, that's not your camp anymore lol
Went LD: I would give the camp back, personally. But I am much too nice a person.
Had to camp because of aggro: ditto
Wiped: it's a very cold hard world out there. You lose camp.

NOTE: if any SHENANIGANS are involved (eg, the douche *trained* your camp which is why you wiped) ALL BETS ARE OFF AND IT IS WAR.

Or, at least /petition time.

But training someone's camp in order to steal it is the lowest of the low. It is almost as low as leapfrogging.

Wouldn't it be both servers? It is technically the same game just different mechanics for player targets, no?
Yeah there are no "camps" or "camp checks" on red. You go to your target mob/mobs and if there is already someone there you decide whether or not you want to try to duke it out over the mobs. Just depends on how badly you want the mobs, and how confident you are that you can easily kill the player. It is glorious.

I have been at camps where I or someone else needed to do that, or something else, and others were in line it worked out. But as usual some people abuse it, and others won't go along with it if you are gone 20 seconds. FTE does apply here as I hope you are aware of. [You must be logged in to view images. I wish I had more play time tbh. I get ya on the 'want factor' but I'm not into that really. I'm more a community helper; log in to buff ppl & camp, port a bunch of ppl & camp, etc... I mostly play the game to enjoy the community of people trying to do all those tough tasks & if I can log in for an hour 1 day a week & help any stranger - than what I hoped for was accomplished.

I remember on red me and two pals wanted sister camp but someone was already there. Well he didn't want to share so we killed him and then the mobs. Cue a level 1 high elf wizard mysteriously training us with dark elf elites a couple of minutes later.

Coined him when we realised when we were being trained. Go Red!

Some people take the "you left so you gave it up" attitude a bit far sometimes. Scene: Unrest Fireplace room gets trained by tower, Necro feigns death, Cleric and Bard bodies are lying on the floor. Two guys not in the group come in and begin pulling on top of the Necro and the the bodies. Naked Cleric and Bard show up to get dressed and the new arrivals gave us the "you left so you gave it up" business. Does being dead REALLY count as leaving a camp? /sigh

It's weird, but it's actually easier to be a community helper on red imo.

No one on blue wants to admit that they need help. They're too L33t.

Ugh. That's so bad. Can't regret the move to red at all. At least if a twink is trying to pk you you can do something about it. There is no solution for something like this.

How does it work when a level 50 necro is at Ancient Cyclops and you're a level 60 wizard? A 4 level range sounds like it would create lots of problems in lots of camps.
