He didn't freak out, that's just how it was advertised.

They refused to give him ANY kind of cut on the DVDs of the show they were selling.

He took a very prideful stance and said you aren't selling my work without including me on the deal or at least discussing it. Comedy Central apparently snubbed him hard then later said we give you enough money etc.

He took the high road, packed up his shit and left for a vacation.
