And the camping of Frenzy is one thing. You're camping one mob because you want his drop, because it's a nice haste item for your alt. I get that. Get your loot, give the camp to the next person.

but yea once u get to com you start, well.. to just want to get that exp and doing a duo is fun for them. It can be frustrating when you have to wait for a group opening when someone is soloing an area often taken by a full 6 man group I know. Ive duoed at the temple, soloed it even but I let people join me, even though I hope they will turn me down.. and after about 20 mins Id 50% of the time, log off and come back later.. because.. well if you saw the difference in xp gain when you are solo duo vs in a 4+ group.. and could solo duo? you would start to just realise 6 man grouping is kind of just not really worth it, if you don't have to. I mean, yea the grind and playing EQ as a group is what its all about right? well kind of.. most of these people that you are talking about have ground 2 3 or maybe 4 toons on p99 and well, after you've done it once or twice, it looses its luster and you just want to get to that same level as all your friends who are lvl 60 so you can group with them again... I mean, you're just gona have to expect that the server is a mixed bag of nuts, and sometimes the bowl you seek is in drooga, even though that's a long run from Mistmoore. [You must be logged in to view images. EXP penalties are very much classic and very much alienating of other players.
If you want a solo/group class that gets accepted no matter their gear or exp penalty, play a halfling cleric, human necromancer, or barbarian shaman. Pretty simple to discern especially as classic mechanics won't get changed here. This is Project 1999, not Project 2004.

You're a druid; who gives a shit what other people do when you can solo to 60 faster than like 90% of the people in groups. Why would you WANT to group? Do you want to take longer to hit lvl 60? lol

It's an ideal and an honest concern, it's an honor system and more people should consider it honorable imo. To those saying "reroll or go solo to 60" you're missing the point, lol

An artist honestly uses their brain more than most programmers do. They get paid fucking small amounts of salaries or by a small amount per hour PLUS cannot draw in the art style they want to, they have to conform to a business' style of art. To make matters even more unfair, programmers in comparison have to do things according to one style - the most efficient way possible for the company and thus ultimately themselves. So how does this relate to EQ? You pick a class, just like a profession in real life because 'it's something you want to play/do', and you end up realizing that your class is horrible and can't reroll without a ton of work. No amount of unionizing and complaining on public forums will ever change that people are inheritly greedy, and take the path of least resistance, even if it means fucking over other people in the process. Is that a problem? When you do it, no. When someone else does it to you, yes. See the problem with that? It works both ways and you commonly side with whatever favors you, instead of giving up a part of your time to help others. And this isn't just an EQ problem, it's a problem with humanity - we might be the smartest animals on the planet but I'll be damned if we can someday make everything fair for everyone.
