Don't think there's any protocol per se. Ask away.

Thanks!

A quick question about forum etiquette. I have 5 or 6 small questions that I can't seem to find the answers to on the wiki. Should I just dump everything here or create a new thread of the various questions? (if there is a simple questions/simple answers thread around here that'd be great)
I got just the thread for you! http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=147142

Welcome to the server!

Well then, that works! Thanks.

EDIT: I see now that threads been locked, so I'll toss my random questions here:

- A dagger has 3 DMG and 20 Atk Delay. A staff has 6 DMG and 40 Atk Delay. Aside from weight, 1H vs 2H, etc... are they the same weapon?
- Is giving my skeleton a weapon an advantage or disadvantage? (I gave my pet a two handed sword and he seemed to do more damage. Gave another two pick axes I found from orc peons and he seemed to do less.) I assume they're naturally hand-to-hand specialists and wonder if giving them a blunt or slashing item hurts them.
- I generally sell everything I find to the closest merchant around, but I get a weird feeling I'm selling something someone might want to actually buy. Are there any items I should be holding onto? (currently I only know people seem to want HQ Bear Pelts)
- Killing Yellows/Whites and waiting a few minutes to recover, or mowing down Blues almost non-stop?
- Since I'm a Necro and spells are my primary source of damage, should I even worry about leveling melee skills?
- Does casting lower level spells increase a skill the same as a higher level one? (ex: spamming a level 1 Conjuration spell to increase my Conj level)
- I'm constantly right clicking to adjust my 3rd person camera and inspecting myself on accident. This happens at least 20 times an hour. Is there a .GUI i can dig into and remove this feature?

I think that's it. In general I'm figuring everything else out slowly one thing at a time, but the questions above can't really be "figured out" without, probably, hours and hours of testing.

Having a lot of fun though. Again, thanks to everyone for the patience and kindness.

Kurotoh! Currently level 6, killing skeletons, tree snakes, bears, shadow wolves, etc. I briefly ventured out to the Commonlands, but the KOS orc centurions scare me too much to try and kill the occasional Puma.

Lets see if i can help a bit.
- for a necro in your early levels i wouldnt be too worried about the weapon your using as such once you get higher lvl you most likely will not have a weapon. but for now stick to a weapon you like using.
-giving your pet a weapon is a advantage. i personally give mine 2 handed weapons but sometimes a nice mage will summon 1hand weapons for me.
-at your lvl sell everything that doesnt help your character directly. ex: weapon with stats or armor with stats or even armor with more AC.
-as a necro you will be relying on spells all the time, it is your main source of damage. As a necro you are a pure caster, and necros use DoTs to kill unlike the other pure caster classes that use DD to do damage or other means.
-as far as the skills go, all i can think of are my ward spells to DD undead, and at a higher lvl i used lower ones because my skill wasnt high so i fizzled a lot and wasted a ton of mana. so im gonna say you can spam a lvl 1 spell and increase the skill but just not sure if the target needs to be blue or if it doesn't matter.
-if you are using the view in which you can scroll out and see your character in 3rd person, use this macro ... /toggleinspect off
this will allow you to right click the screen and not inspect yourself or everyone around you. as such /toggleinspect on turns it back on.

if you need any other help let me know [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
