Not a time sink at all, you can lvl fast as shit in this game. Even at midrange you can start pvping just go into non safezones to lvl and you'll find pvp.

Tradeskills are a time sink and extremely expensive to lvl up, but they give some of the best gear in the game, as well as allow you to construct different things for houses and farms as well as boats and galleons.

Every Character is given a Glider, Rowboat, and Mount by following their quest line as a newb. Unlike Wow these things do not equal an escape other players can murder your horse knock you out of the air on your glider or destroy your boat.

Pirate is a faction itself, so you can only guild/group with other pirates. And it doesn't matter what Faction you originally picked, once you go Pirate that's your new Faction/Team. Just like any other faction you can kill other pirates, but doesn't make much sense to do so when the rest of server is already against you.

I got to 2300 playing a resto druid and broke 2k with shatterplay team as a shadow priest. Was some the worst most boring pvp I've ever experienced in my life.

I don't even consider wow a PvP game.

Idk playing at top 10 (2300+) 5s was intense and fun.

And Druids were silly. Went to 2200 with 1 DC loss as Druid war on a garbage geared Druid tho was being played by once of the best holy paladins I have ever played w

In what xpac? And 2k as an spriest in shatterplay is laughable. Comp was extremely broken.

Also curious, what battlegroup? BG9 was the place to be, constantly played against Original, Woundman, Talb, Cdew, Venruki, Reckful, Vanguard, Thundawga (mah *****), Newmanlol (mah other *****), basically anyone worth a damn. Some of the best and exhilarating PvP I had was at 2400+ arenas. And I played an HPal, shittiest healer of them all (cept in Cata, 2nd shittiest).

EQ PvP isn't really skilled at all, much more of a bore. But then again I am and still am more of a fan of Asheron's Call's PvP.

EQ way more pvp skill based than wow. Wow's resist system was shit, game was loaded with a billion instant cast long duration Cc abilities. More button mashing than timing and skill.
