McQuaid has said UO drove him to make EQ a primarily PvE game. That is saying it was not designed for PvP. It was designed for PvE, but with PvP added.

The moderators should have locked the thread after the OP and stickied it.

Granted, I was but a young lad when EQ "classic was live"
But even upon joining p99 I distinctly tasted the taste of copper at the back of my mouth when an orc fistfucked me during a high summer moon For a year, the games PvE content was really hard enough to keep me occupied to keep my Blood Boiling like i was in a duel with a necro But eventually the Delirium Tremens of my WoW-PvP days set in and now I am on red some hands shaking, palms sweating the coppery taste tasted once again as I cancel magic on the enchanter's hill giant pet and cackle mirthlessly as he flees or conspire with my friends to ice this dumb fuck who joined our sol b group just like the PvE, which is so deliciously painful and often awkward PvP fights are thrilling and won through otherwise miscellaneous actions | ||
