Yeah, homm 3 rocks. 2 is equally good imo. A shame the new ones didn't deliver; I think I bought 4 and 5 and then gave up on the franchise after those two buggy-ass flops.

I loved 4, the idea of leveling 2 heroes and having them interact on the battlefield was a good concept.

5 though, god... :/

Hated 4. 5 was meh, and I played 6 recently. Wasn't too terrible.

Well Daggerfall is a fanastic game and mind-bogglingly huge.

I actually now remember playing Warlord 2 with friends all those years ago, but didn't remember until I saw it mentioned here. Pretty sure it was Warlords 2. I'll have to watch some Let's Play videos and see if they spark 20 year old memories.

Populous is a gun game but I only know it on the Sega Genesis. DOS version may differ.

Pool Of Radiance is a great game on the Commodore 64. Can't vouch for the DOS version. Back in the day it was my favorite RPG.

Master Of Magic is brilliant. It's a mix of Civilization and Magic: The Gathering.
