It is so fun. When I logged on for the first time and saw the server population I didn't know what to expect. Honestly I thought the old EQ servers had like 10k people on at once..

So I thought maybe this will be like Classic EQ with just less people. I was wrong. The server is so full of life, it feels so genuine to its roots.

I suggest you dive in and play for yourself. I don't think anyone that enjoyed EQ in its hayday would be disappointed.

actual EQ servers during this era had around 1.8k-2.5k players. And things very insanely crowded, I had to get into a line at orc camp for like 45 min to get a place in a group.

The people who invented the first space ships were brilliant. That doesn't mean anybody should actually want to use them 200 years later. Ideas are limited by means of execution. Everquest has amazing ideas that need to be completely reworked in their execution, in order for classic Everquest as it was envisioned to actually exist and continue to be relevant as things have evolved.
